EVOLUTION OF BRAIN

Evolution of Brain:

We do not know exact evolution of brain. But, let's try to understand it.

We do not find all the functions in all organisms. Also, some of the five senses are powerful in some and other in others.

Ameba is an unicellular organism. Bacteria and Viruses are single cell organisms. Their body is made up of only one cell. We do not see any brain in them. They have no eyes, no ears, no mouth, no extremities. Still, they move, they eat, they multiply. They have survival power, they try to adjust in adverse conditions. Mobility, growth, and multiplication are the functions residing in no apparent structure. May be in the nucleus. It just looks like unicellular organism's body itself is a brain.

This may be the simplest brain.

As you go from primitive organisms to more developed creatures like ants, earthworms, roaches, birds, frogs, rats, etc. and to modern man (Homo sapience), their brains are becoming more and more complicated - and their functions too!

Ant is very small creature and its brain is even tinier, which hardly can be seen with our naked eye. Still, ant can take decision. When you put your fingertip in its way, it changes its direction. Ant make no sound still it can communicate with its fellow worker and with other ants. Ants store food for the worst days to come. It means they think for the future. Honey-bee makes honey comb. Great instinct!

Earthworm's brain is little bigger and may be more organized for better functions.

Roaches run away from you. They afraid you might kill them. They have fear, thought, and action for survival. They have eyes.

Birds have eyes, ears, and mouth. They have legs, but no hands. Instead of hands they have wings. They talk to each other. They make their nest. They socialize too! They find their partner, work together in harmony to raise their kids and enjoy their life. They teach their kids. They have feelings of happiness and sadness. They sleep.

Dogs and lions mark their territory and fight for their power. Lioness use smartness and combined strength to kill their prey.

Goats and bulls fight for their partner.

No animal in the world -

    -wear clothes and do fashion, wear jewelry and do makeup,

    -cook the food and sell in the restaurants,

    -have done laser surgery and made hospitals,

    -have created laboratories and done research,

    -have gone to the moon, explored the universe,

    -have made computers and robots, cars and planes, trains and submarines, rockets and satellites, bridges and tunnels,

        skyscrapers and towers, towns and cities,

    -have printed books and took pictures, made movies and theaters,

    -have stored information for achieves,

    -have written laws and created courts,

    -do business and make money,

    -made slaves and exploited their own species, tamed other animals and used for their own good,

    -follow the religion and fight for it,

    -have made guns and weapons of mass destruction to kill their own species, have made war-heads in the name of protection and

        self-defense.

    -smokes, drinks alcohol, and do drugs,

    -is known as very intelligent but do not know its own future and where it is going!

except Human being!!!

What a complex world of a complex brain!

The structure is complex, function is complex and the product is complex too!
