FOR AGES 6 AND 7
SUBTRACTION
Dear friend:
We learned addition in addition pages. Now we are going to learn subtraction.
What is subtraction?
Subtraction is opposite of addition.
When someone gives you something or you get something you add on to it. But what if you loose something or give away something from what you have?
For example, if you have four quarters. From that you give two quarters to somebody. How many quarters remain with you?
If you have two oranges, you eat one of them. How many oranges are left with you?
If you have three candies and you give one to each of your two friends. How many candies are left with you?
