Math - A GAME OF NUMBERS, LETTERS, AND POSITIONS

PART - 2 - LETTERS

Dear Friend:

Some times you may represent numbers with the letters too.

For example, if ten is A, one is B and eleven is C, you can say as: A + B = C.

    10      A
+    1 +   B
=  11 =  C

Other example:

    5     A
+  2 +  B
=  7 =  C

This is called Algebra.

For practice: If 7 is A and 4 is B, what will be A + B?

                      If A is 6, B is 3 and C is the answer, write the solution for A + B = C?

                      If A is 2, what will be A + A?

                      If B is 3, what will be C in equation B + B = C.

Can you do these?

If A is 1, B is 2, C is 3, D is 4 and E is 5, what will be Z in:

A + A =Z,      B + B = Z,      C + C = Z,      D + D = Z,     E + E = Z?

   A (1)       B (2)    C (3)    D (4)    E (5)
+A (1) +B (2)  +C (3)  +D (4)  +E (5)
Z =

Some more algebra:

As shown above, the values of A, B, C, D, and E are:

A=1, B=2, C=3, D=4, and E=5.

Put these values in the following equations, and you got the answer.

For example:

A + B = C

Here, A=1, B=2, and C=3.

Means,

1 + 2 = 3.

Now calculate:

A + C = ______.

B + C = ______.

C + A = ______.

Wow, you know algebra!

GREAT!!!
