Multiplication Trick-1
| 1 x 9 = | 09 | 0 + 9 = | 9 | |||||
| 2 x 9 = | 18 | 1 + 8 = | 9 | |||||
| 3 x 9 = | 27 | 2 + 7 = | 9 | |||||
| 4 x 9 = | 36 | 3 + 6 = | 9 | |||||
| 5 x 9 = | 45 | 4 + 5 = | 9 | |||||
| 6 x 9 = | 54 | 5 + 4 = | 9 | |||||
| 7 x 9 = | 63 | 6 + 3 = | 9 | |||||
| 8 x 9 = | 72 | 7 + 2 = | 9 | |||||
| 9 x 9 = | 81 | 8 + 1 = | 9 | |||||
| 10 x 9 = | 90 | 9 + 0 = | 9 |
In multiplying by 9 take away 1 from the number you are multiplying. Then add up to 9. That will be your answer.
Example: 9 x 5 = 45. Take away 1 from 5 = 4 + ___ = 9. i.e. 4 & 5 makes 9.
So the answer is 45.
Example: 9 x 7 = 63. Take away 1 from 7 = 6 + ___ = 9. i.e. 6 & 3 makes 9.
So the answer is 63.
